By not only providing access to engaging and relevant content, but also creating opportunities for practical, clinical experience and peer-to-peer interaction, we’re opening the door for learners to expand their expertise outside of the needs of their current patient population. On a monthly basis, we also welcome Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to speak with learners to share firsthand knowledge and demonstrate the many career possibilities in this industry.”

A dementia diagnosis can take a devastating emotional and physical toll on caregivers without access to education, who are often already facing systemic inequities themselves. Despite that, they still showed up day in and out to support our aging population in California during the pandemic, and are continuing to provide care to those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. We get to do our small part in supporting their education and rewarding them through an incentive structure designed with the California Department of Aging.

Even prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the healthcare industry was facing workforce challenges. Our partnership with OpusVi™ is helping to support caregivers at our family of organizations through quality education and development so that we can be part of the solution. Investing in professional development for the nation’s caregivers will assist us in stabilizing the workforce.

The course was a great place to start for someone who does not have project management experience - it allowed me to start from the bottom and work my way through the different aspects of PM to be able to better incorporate them into my day-to-day work. I liked that we were able to move at our own pace and really appreciated inputs from other members sharing their experiences.
