OpusVi is announcing its national partnership with The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), a not-for-profit association founded for the purpose of promoting the advancement of Black healthcare leaders and elevating the quality of healthcare services rendered to minority and underserved communities. Through the partnership, NAHSE members will have access to OpusVi’s suite of online education and workforce development programs at a significantly reduced cost.
A joined mission for equity in education and healthcare
“This partnership aligns perfectly with our vision” says Geoffrey M. Roche, MPA, Senior Vice President of Business and Workforce Development at OpusVi. “Too often, those who want to make an impact in healthcare don’t have the right tools to do so, be it due to time constraints, location, or financial resources. This lack of access leads to a lack of diversity, especially in leadership positions. To accept this as a status quo is a huge loss — not only for the medical community, but also for patients who are unable to receive care from healthcare professionals who fully empathize with them because they lived the same experiences.”
Nejla Turdiu, Senior Director of Business and Workforce Development at OpusVi, adds, “That’s why OpusVi’s mission is to offer high-quality healthcare education and workforce development solutions from reputable educational institutions to healthcare professionals of all backgrounds. We continually strive to make our resources as accessible as possible by offering them online, at affordable price points, and offering generous scholarship options. NAHSE is a strong partner with a long history in the fight for equity, so we hope that our programs will continue to drive the impactful work that their members have been doing for more than five decades.”
Expert-informed healthcare education created for impact
OpusVi’s educational offerings fit well into NAHSE’s continual efforts for developmental and networking programs to its members: All programs are created with expertise from healthcare professionals from OpusVi’s extensive network, allowing for highly relevant learning content that helps healthcare professionals make an impact in their organizations and communities. Through social learning tools and personalized feedback from expert instructors, there are ample networking and mentorship opportunities.
“Joining forces with OpusVi gives NAHSE members even more opportunities to actively participate in enhancing their career and improve the health status, economic opportunities, and educational advancement of the communities they serve,” says Lisa Mallory, PhD, Executive Director of NAHSE. “Education is a powerful driver of change and we are looking forward to seeing the continued impact this partnership is going to have.”
