Program Outline

The Certificate in Healthcare Marketing provides industry professionals with the skills to move their organization towards a new healthcare paradigm with a customer-centric approach. The Certificate in Healthcare Marketing carries Continuing Education Units (CEUs) which are accredited by AKH Inc. (Advancing Knowledge in Healthcare). You can earn up to 16 credit hours upon successful completion of the course. It does not carry academic credits.

The program is only offered as a complete nine-unit package. It may be determined at a later date to offer the units on an individual basis or package the units to your choosing. If you are interested in learning more about future options, please contact us at study@dhge.org.

No, all coursework is 100% online. Everything can be completed from the comfort of your own home, office, or remote location via mobile device.

The curriculum consists of nine units. Each unit consists of assigned readings, text, videos, and other learning activities. In addition to weekly assignments, such as a discussion board, there will be larger assignments. Students will write papers, complete reflections, document assessment findings, complete online modules, and more. The first time you log onto the online course system, you will complete a brief orientation to online learning, which means that even novice users should be able to navigate the platform. You will also be guided throughout the course with a live online facilitator who is a subject matter expert in the field.

The Certificate in Healthcare Marketing does not guarantee you a job but will give you the tools to assess the effectiveness of a healthcare marketing plan, interpret and present relevant data (quantitative and qualitative) to support marketing recommendations and decisions and create viable, executable marketing strategies and tactics for a healthcare organization. These qualifications could give you a competitive advantage in the job market.
