In 2021, 54 million of the 328 million U.S. residents were over the age of 65. By 2030, that number is projected to rise to 74 million. This means that healthcare spending will rise, and a large portion of the healthcare workforce will be required to transition into roles centered around senior care. While this presents concerns for healthcare systems worldwide, the opportunities this emerging reality offers to business- and impact-minded professionals are unmatched. In the coming years, employers and investors in the healthcare space will take notice of management-level professionals who are aware of, and prepared for, the emerging industry challenges.

Announcing a new type of program in senior living management

In an extension of our partnership to address industry needs in workforce development, OpusVi and The University of Arizona’s Eller Executive Education are announcing the launch of an innovative Mini-MBA in Senior Living. This new 12-week certificate program will provide a comprehensive, MBA-level foundation in business principles and administration practices specifically applied to the senior care sector.

In this groundbreaking program, coursework will be delivered entirely online and facilitated by top-tier industry experts and academic professionals specializing in business foundations and the essentials of person-centered senior care. World champions and Olympic medalist athletes will be featured as speakers on performance management and achieving one’s personal best.

Seniors will continue to comprise the fastest growing segment of our population for the next three decades, thus OpusVi has created a mini-MBA designed to understand the unique challenges for a career in senior living and post acute care.  As the industry engages in a new paradigm centered around alternative care options for seniors and the need to age in place, this program guides individuals in learning the complexities of both a highly regulated and rewarding field.
