The last decade in pharma has brought countless discoveries and milestones to the healthcare industry. From conquering hepatitis C and cancer immunotherapy to the RNA revolution that has saved millions of lives in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world of pharmaceuticals continues to prove to be one of immense impact, constant innovation, and growing opportunity. According to Statista, the United States possessed 40 percent of the pharmaceutical industry value worldwide in November 2021. While the global pharmaceutical manufacturing market reached $402 billion in 2020, Avenga projects it to be worth $635 billion in sales by 2024. With these projections, there is significant opportunity for those in the healthcare and life sciences industries to benefit from a career in pharmaceutical management.
