OpusVi is proud to announce its partnership with Santa Clara University, a top-ranked Jesuit institution, to co-develop a series of online programs for healthcare professionals centered around social determinants of health and mission-led leadership. Chris Lowney, public speaker, leadership consultant, vice-chair of the Board of CommonSpirit Health, former managing director of JP Morgan, and best-selling author, will feature as a subject matter expert on Heroic Leadership.

Leading with one’s head and heart in tumultuous times

“The pandemic has highlighted that health inequities persist in our country and that we need to work every day to create a more equitable healthcare system,” says OpusVi’s Chief Learning Experience Officer Kurt Hayes. “More than ever, we need to re-evaluate the role of health professionals and communities, and how they can shape policy and population health. We believe that education and strong leadership are two drivers needed to steer the rapid change that is happening in our world in the right direction. We know that strong leadership goes hand in hand with courage, compassion, humility and the ability to create a culture of growth and empowerment. Chris Lowney is a strong advocate of this leadership style and Santa Clara University is the perfect partner to co-develop learning content that conveys these value-based teachings.”

The partners are united by value-driven education

Kurt continues, “We’re excited about our collaboration with Santa Clara University not only because of their strong reputation but also because of their excellent work in diversity, equity, and inclusion. We’re honored to work alongside them and increase access to this incredible programming for all healthcare professions.” “As part of the mission of our center to help organizations create a more just world, we believe that education is a platform to serve others and to better society,” adds Dennis Lanham, Senior Assistant Dean and Executive Director of the Silicon Valley Executive Center at Santa Clara University. “Healthcare, like many systems, desperately needs a new set of tools to address pressing disparities and challenges in the modern world, and we are proud to partner with OpusVi to create those opportunities for development.”

The partnership unites major players in the education and health sectors

Santa Clara University is California’s oldest operating institution of higher learning and a top-ranked school. OpusVi is backed by CommonSpirit Health, one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in the U.S. For future learners from all health systems, this partnership ensures that they will benefit from high-quality learning experiences driven by industry needs and enhanced through extensive healthcare expertise.
